Outdoor Movies at the Whistler Film Festival in Canada

Whistler Film Festival, running since its 2002 launch, has expanded each year -- this edition featuring 92 films, including outdoor movies in the snow. Guests include Donald Sutherland (head of jury) and Canadian filmmakers Patricia Rozema (I've Heard the Mermaids Singing) and Sturla Gunnarson. The opening film is Michael McGowan's One Week; the closing title is Bruce McDonald's Pontypool.

The snow hits the celluloid at a celebrity ski challenge on Dec. 6. Festival runs Dec. 4-7; packages including two nights' accommodation and two festival passes range from $119 to $420, double occupancy.
